This dirham was struck in al-Andalus in the year 380’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing the caliph’s title al-Muʾayyad billah and ʿAmir within a circle, ‘al-Imām Hishām / amīr al-muʾminīn / al-Muʾayyad billāh / ʿĀmir’ (‘Imam Hisham, Commander of the Believers, al-Muʾayyad billah. ʿAmir’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘Muḥammad rasūl Allāh arsalahū bi al-hudā wa dīn al-ḥaqq liyuẓhirahū ʿalā al-dīn kullih’ (‘Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
